Title: Circular No. (12) of 2021 to all Persons Licensed by the CMA Regarding the Data of the Foreign Direct Investment

With reference to the subject above, and due to the Central Statistical Bureau’s conduct of the Third Foreign Direct Investment Survey for the purpose of establishing a platform for the foreign direct investment in the State of Kuwait to include the companies residing in Kuwait in the different local economic sectors. The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) invites all persons licensed by the CMA to cooperate with the Central Statistical Bureau in this regard and complete the data of the Foreign Direct Investment Survey as soon as possible, which include the data starting from the end of 2018 until the end of 2020. This shall be submitted to the Central Statistical Bureau within a period that does not exceed two weeks from the date of this Circular.

The Central Statistical Bureau will receive the forms after completing the required information through the email of the survey team which is: fdi@csb.gov.kw .

The Central Statistical Bureau pledges to keep the data of the companies’ subject to the survey confidential pursuant to Article Seven of Law No. (27) of 1963 on Statistics and Census. In addition, the results of the survey will be posted on an aggregate basis for the different local economic sectors to meet the requirements of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
