CMA LAW: Circular No. (5) of 2020 Regarding Postponing the Date of Holding the General Assemblies of the Financial Year that Ended on 31/12/2019 through the Electronic System

In reference to Circular no. (3) issued on 12/04/2020, and pursuant to the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the implementation of total lockdown during the period in which all ministries, government entities and public bodies and institutions are precautionarily suspended due to the novel Coronavirus and the suspension of all activities of the private sector except for the excluded limited activities, and in line with this decision, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) draws the attention of the companies listed in the Exchange and the closed shareholding companies that are licensed to practice securities activities, whose financial year ended on 31/12/2019 and have not held its General Assemblies yet, to postpone the final date of holding the General Assembly that was previously specified until a further notice to be specified after the total lockdown.
