Date Publish
13 August 2026
The Capital Markets Authority announces filing a report with the Prosecutor General on 13/8/2026 regarding the occurrence of the crime stipulated in the provision of paragraph (a) and (c) of Item No. (2) of Article (122) of Law No. 7 of 2010 and amendments thereto. During the period from 4/5/2026 to 18/5/2026, the defendant used his electronic account to trade in the Exchange on the shares of Bayan Investment Holding Company (Bayan). He executed several purchase transactions on the shares of (Bayan) at escalating prices affecting the security’s price, and in relatively small quantities compared to the preceding selling quantities. He repeated the same approach during the violation monitoring period, aiming to create a false impression of buying interest in the shares to attract and encourage the public investors to buy the security from him, which enabled him to dispose of the intended quantity of shares during the aforementioned period, and achieve financial benefit from his illegal trades.
