CMA LAW: Circular No. (05) of 2026 Regarding the Implementation of Emergency Plans and Following up on Business Continuity for Licensed Persons

Greetings,
Due to the current circumstances witnessed by the country and based on the role of the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) in maintaining the stability of the financial system and protecting its participants, the CMA confirms the importance of activating emergency plans and follow-ups on the implementation of business continuity plans to ensure continuous services without interruption for all licensed persons, pursuant to the requirements of Chapter Six of Module Six (Policies & Procedures of Licensed Persons) of the Executive Bylaws of Law No. 7 of 2010 and their amendments.
CMA stresses the necessity of licensed persons to take all the necessary precautionary measures and procedures to ensure the utmost levels of safety for the employees, funds, and assets as well as protecting clients’ funds and assets.
CMA also emphasizes the importance of maintaining effective communication with all clients and stakeholders, to ensure that they are informed of any updates related to the services provided, in addition to providing a prompt and effective response to their inquiries during these exceptional circumstances.
The CMA urges all concerned parties to follow its official website and approved social media accounts for up-to-date resolutions and procedures.
