Title: Resolution No. (164) of 2025 Regarding the License Application Submitted by Blackrock Advisors (UK) Company Limited to Practice Securities Activities
Having Perused:
- Law No. 7 of 2010 regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its Executive Bylaws and amendments thereto; and
- Law No. 116 of 2013 Regarding the Promotion of Direct Investment in the State of Kuwait and its Executive Bylaws and amendments thereto; and
- The Investment Licensing Certificate No. 99/2025 Issued by Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority; and
- The application of securities activities license– branch of a foreign company submitted by Blackrock Advisors (UK) Company Limited; and
- Based on Resolution No. (04) of 2025 regarding the amendment of the approval authorizations for the Supervision Sector's procedures, issued on 12/01/2025.
The Following Was Resolved
Article (1)
Blackrock Advisors (UK) Company Limited branch is hereby licensed to practice the activity of Investment Advisor pursuant to this Article.
Article (2)
The license term for Blackrock Advisors (UK) Company Limited branch shall be three years, starting from the issuance date of the CMA’s license certificate, and after paying the prescribed fees.
Blackrock Advisors (UK) Company Limited branch shall pay the prescribed fee upon license renewal for any other term according to the provisions of Law No. 7 of 2010 and its Executive Bylaws and their amendments, and the CMA’s resolutions, and directions.
Article (3)
The concerned bodies shall execute this Resolution, each within its jurisdiction. This Resolution shall come into force from the date of issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
