In light of the decrees issued regarding withdrawing citizenship from those who previously obtained it in accordance with Article Eight of Decree-Law No. (15) of 1959 and its amendments regarding Kuwaiti citizenship, and to the resolution of the esteemed Council of Ministers No. (67) passed in its meeting No. (3/2025) - (38) held on 21/01/2025, which includes requesting government agencies to remedy the situations of those whose who previously obtained their citizenships in accordance with Article Eight of Decree-Law No. (15) of 1959 and its amendments regarding Kuwaiti citizenship and their equality in benefits and salaries, in addition to the inquiries received by the CMA from those whose citizenships were withdrawn and licensed persons, and what is raised on social media regarding the mechanism for dealing with them.
CMA draws the attention of all licensed persons subject to CMA’s supervision to adhere to the resolutions and circulars issued by the Council of Ministers, with regard to dealing with individuals whose Kuwaiti citizenship has been withdrawn, who previously obtained it in accordance with Article Eight of Decree-Law No. (15) of 1959 and its amendments and completing their transactions in the event that they obtain a valid civil ID registered in the nationality field (Kuwaiti Treatment).
