Greetings,
Within the Capital Markets Authority’s (CMA) efforts and its continuous pursuit to achieve the highest levels of compliance during the current mutual evaluation process by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on the State of Kuwait, and the resulting outcome reflected in the mutual evaluation report of the State of Kuwait issued in October 2024, and in our belief in the role of the private sector, similar to the role of the CMA in addressing the repercussions of the mutual evaluation process to achieve the best desired results, and to contribute to maintaining the reputation and international standing of the state of Kuwait in this regard, and further to CMA Circular No. (09) of 2024 Regarding “The Awareness Campaign of the Financial Institutions and Specific Non-Financial Businesses and Professions in the State of Kuwait”, the CMA draws your attention to the necessity of the obligatory participation of your compliance officers in the aforementioned awareness workshops to avoid legal accountability according to Law No. 7 of 2010 regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its amendments and Law No. 106 of 2013 Regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism, noting that participation is open for all your employees.
