Title: Invitation to Participate in the Opinion Poll on the Draft Rules for Contractual Collective Investment Schemes
In order to achieve the strategic objectives of the Authority, and to develop the efficiency of the legislative structure of the financial markets and the investment field by reviewing the existing legislation and applying any necessary updates, the Authority has worked on developing and amending some provisions of the Executive Bylaws of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities, and its amendments, through the development of special rules for Contractual Collective Investment Schemes. They are considered a form of the collective investment schemes specified in the Capital Markets Authority Law, established for the purpose of investing funds owned by two or more professional clients, which is intended to enable clients participating in such schemes to participate or to receive profits that may arise from the acquisition, possession, management or disposition of such assets.
Taking into account the internationally recognized standards and practices in the financial markets in order to enable the capital market to possess the elements of competition regionally by providing an attractive investment environment for foreign investments, localization of local investments and the creation of suitable investment opportunities under the appropriate protection of clients.
As part of the approach adopted by the Authority in communication and coordination with stakeholders, and its permanent keenness to strengthen the financial sector and its institutions, we are pleased to invite you to review the proposed draft rules so that you can submit your comments and opinions, no later than Thursday, May 17, 2018.
