Kuwait, 4th May 2014 – As part of the CMA awareness approaches, which are not only limited to investors and persons interested in securities' activities, but also aim to reach different sectors of the society, the CMA has organized an orientation regarding the nature of its tasks and activities. It took place in the Students Training Centre at the College of Business Administration.
The orientation included a lecture entitled " Capital Markets Authority … Aims and Aspirations", which was presented by the Director of the Awareness Department in the CMA in which he explained the CMA's roles and tasks regarding regulating securities' activities. He also gave a brief about the securities' history since its start in Kuwait at the beginning of the second half of the last century, in addition to the times of success and failure it went through until it reached the phase of establishing the CMA. He also mentioned the purposes of if its establishment, and its future objectives and aspirations.
It is worth mentioning that this orientation is the CMA's first approach towards raising the society's financial and investment awareness. This comes in line with the CMA ongoing effort for raising awareness of investors and licensed persons.
