Title: The Capital Markets Authority Organizes a Medical Examination Day for its Employees
Kuwait, October 16, 2023 – The Public Relations and Media Office at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) organized a health check-up day for employees on Sunday October 15, 2023, at the CMA’s headquarters. The event was held in collaboration with Kuwait National Guard (Directorate of Medical Services). This initiative is part of CMA’s continuous efforts in implementing the activities of social responsibility, and it aims to maintain the safety and health of its employees by providing them with healthcare and encouraging them to undergo regular medical check-ups. The check-ups included blood sugar and blood pressure tests, as well as BMI measurements. In addition, medical advice and guidance were provided to raise awareness regarding the importance of disease prevention and encourage employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle for the maintenance of good overall health. The participating team of the National Guard provided medical equipment and offered medical advice on avoiding chronic diseases.
During the occasion, which witnessed the participation and interaction of the CMA’s employees and Chairman of the CMA, Prof. Ahmad Al-Melhem, expressed his gratitude to the National Guard team and the medical staff on accepting the invitation. He praised their dedication, commending their efforts in cooperation with government institutions and entities, and appreciating their professionalism, which was well-received and highly valued by the employees.
It is worth noting that the CMA is keen on organizing such internal events for employees, aimed at enhancing health awareness and prompting healthy behaviors and habits. This reaffirms the belief that prevention is better than cure. Furthermore, the CMA organized a blood donation campaign in coordination with Kuwait Central Blood Bank under the slogan of “Your Donation Saves Lives” last September.
