Title: Press Release: Resuming the Trading of Jiyad Holding Company's Shares on Boursa Kuwait Securities Exchange
Kuwait, April 18, 2024 - In the ongoing efforts of the Capital Markets Authority’s (CMA) to provide protection to investors against any actions or behaviors that may violate the provisions of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its Executive Bylaws, and their amendments, and in an emphasis on its compliance with the provisions of the mentioned Law and its Executive Bylaws, the CMA Board of Commissioners Resolution passed in its meeting No. (11) of 2024 held on 17/04/2024, was issued as follows:
First: The trading of Jiyad Holding Company’s shares shall be resumed on Boursa Kuwait Securities Exchange due to the Company meeting the requirements stipulated in Resolution No. (154) of 2023 issued on 05/11/2023, provided that the Company pays the annual subscription fees of 2024 to Boursa Kuwait Securities Exchange and there are no other reasons that warrant the continuation of suspending the trading of the Company's Shares on the Securities Exchange.
Second: The concerned bodies shall execute this Resolution, each within its jurisdiction. This Resolution shall come into force as of Sunday 21/04/2024, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
In conclusion, the CMA emphasizes on continuing its supervisory role in protecting investors, which shall create a financial market characterized by fairness, competitiveness, and transparency as well as reducing the systemic risks expected to occur in the securities activities and ensuring compliance with the Laws and Bylaws related to securities activities.

The Capital Markets Authority was established pursuant to Law No. 7/2010, approved by the Kuwaiti Parliament in February 2010. Pursuant to the Law, the CMA shall regulate and supervise the securities activities, achieve transparency and fairness, observe listed companies’ execution of Corporate Governance regulations, and protect investors from unfair practices which violate the CMA's Law.
Furthermore, the Law's provisions stipulate the supervision of mergers, acquisitions, and disclosure operations. The CMA also aims to provide awareness programs related to securities activities.
